We provide job search services, return to work programming with the use of wage subsidy, short-term training, and employment maintenance accommodation supports to employers as well as job seekers with disabilities. Canadian Mental Health Association Manitoba and Winnipeg

CMHA Logo CMHA Manitoba and Winnipeg's Employment Supports is a short term program that uses a rapid employment approach to support participants looking to join or return to the workforce.

Rapid employment involves a short engagement period where a return to work action plan and resume are developed followed by an intense job search process. Job retention support is provided once employment has been found by our Employment Specialists and Job Coach.

We take a team approach and work collaboratively with participants. Activities focus on understanding the roles of employees and what is required to meet an employer's expectations, and how to develop work-life balance.

Province of Manitoba - Department of Families - marketAbilities Program

Manitoba Families logoThe marketAbilities Program offers a wide range of employment-focused services to assist eligible adults with disabilities in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining employment.

Case coordination and vocational counselling services are provided by the Department of Families, Regional Health Authorities and three designated agencies funded by the Department of Families (Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, Canadian National Institute for the Blind and Canadian Paraplegic Association). For eligible participants requiring little or no support in preparing a vocational plan, a Self-Directed Option is also available.
